Architecting for planets other than earth...

Well, in the last post we talked about computing with space in mind.. in this blog I am going to cover another interesting topic. Thinking about the how to architect buildings for planets like moon & mars -  Let's cover the moon first - for moon the essentials conditions are -  no atmosphere only moon dust availability temperatures withstanding -173 to 100 degree centigrade no magnetic field - so lots of radiation particles hitting the surface as there is no friction to stop any particle entering the moon. radio communication between earth to moon - 2.4 - 2.7 secs On thinking through the - we can see that usual architectures wouldn't work - if a building is constructed above the moon's surface - it will not withstand for long because of the temperatures and radiation and moreover any material used would be difficult and costly to deploy from earth to moon The only advantage here is the short communication signal to direct any instrument to work on ...
